What we are
Vision
We envisioned a community that is self-reliant, equipped with productive skills, able to apply technology to increase productivity of livelihood, rationally utilizing their environmental and natural assets, and actively participating in community resources and rural development oriented decision-making process.
Mission
As an extension arm of the University, our extension division was born as an offshoot of the integration of independent higher education institutions spread in over 10 municipalities of the service area by virtue of Republic Act 9029 that created the Partido State University in 2001.
It is our mission to catalyze development and transform marginalized communities in our service area through capacity development, advocacy and participatory governance to make them socioecologically resilient, food secured and self-determined.
What we do
We had pursued and are pursuing various extension projects that address key development concerns in our service area consistent with our mission to achieve our vision and objectives. These projects and programs cover a wide range of timely and relevant thematic areas ranging from capacity development, food security promotion, livelihood and enterprise development, poverty reduction, literacy, community health and nutrition, resource governance disaster risk reduction and management, gender and development, environmental protection.
Our Thematic Extension Thrusts and Directions
We developed our extension thrusts and directions which guide our projects and activities following community and stakeholderโs participation. These thrusts and directions are responsive to the most pressing development issues and challenges confronting the service area. . These thrusts and directions are in harmony with the Center Piece Program of the national Government, the Bicol Development Plan and other development blue print of relevant government institutions working for the region. These include:
Increasing agricultural and fish productivity through technology adoption
Resource Management and Biodiversity Conservation
Socio-ecological Resiliency to climate change impacts
Poverty alleviation in rural areas
Increasing Literacy
Mainstreaming participation in resource governance
Rural Enterprise
