The Professional Regulation Commission, led by Hon. Virgith B. Buena, Chairperson of the Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) for Nutrition and Dietetics, conducted a hybrid inspection of the Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics program at ParSU College of Public Safety and Community Health Lagonoy Campus.

PRB Members Hon. Imelda A. Agdeppa and Hon. Rhoda Joy R. Buenviaje joined the evaluation, which featured the statement of purpose, introduction of the inspection and monitoring team, and focused task force discussions, among other key activities.

Through this rigorous evaluation, ParSU reaffirms its strong adherence to academic and professional standards, producing competent, industry-ready graduates in nutrition and dietetics who can contribute to national health and development.

By reaffirming its commitment to quality education and excellence, ParSU actively contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, and SDG 4: Quality Education, by training future nutrition and dietetics professionals.

In celebration of History Month, Partido State University, together with Saysay Bikol, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, and the Local Historical Committees Network, welcomed Araling Panlipunan teachers, history and social science instructors, and students yesterday, August 30, 2025, at the RDE Training Hall, Partido State University, Goa, Camarines Sur, for the 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐕: 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬. 

With the theme "𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦: 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘏𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯," participants engage with distinguished speakers Wogie T. Pacala, researcher-archivist and lecturer at Trinity University of Asia, Javier Leonardo Rugeria, senior lecturer at the Department ng Filipino at mga Panitikan ng Pilipinas, U.P. Diliman, and Marvin Klint Del Valle of Naga College Foundation as facilitator. 

Bansay, rooted in classic Bikol and Visayan vocabulary, embodies order, excellence, and continuous mastery. Through Bansayan IV, ParSU fulfills its mandate to advance instruction, research, and cultural education in the region through historical awareness, critical inquiry, and innovative pedagogy among educators. Thus, ParSU continues to shape leaders, educators, and researchers who are committed to nation-building.

Partido State University joins the nation in the observance of the 𝟑𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 (𝐍𝐂𝐏𝐖), reaffirming its commitment to advancing public safety, crime prevention, and community empowerment.

As part of this observance, ParSU takes pride in Dr. Shirlene Esplana, Dean of the College of Public Safety and Community Health Lagonoy Campus and President of the Council of Deans for Criminal Justice Education, who served as Guest of Honor and Speaker during the Kick-Off Ceremony held on September 1, 2025, at Camp BGen Simeon A. Ola, Legazpi City, Albay.

With the theme "Pinalakas na Pamhalaang Lokal para sa Ligtas na Pamayanan: Pagpapatibay ng mga Programa sa Pag-iwas sa Krimen sa Ilalim ng Community and Service Oriented Policing (CSOP)," the event underscored the importance of collective action in addressing crime at its roots, fostering resilience, and strengthening citizen participation in ensuring public safety.

Active members of the 2025 NCPW Technical Working Group include the Regional Directors of the National Police Commission, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Police Regional Office, Philippine Information Agency, Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and the Department of Information and Communications Technology.

Also part of the group are the Provincial Director of the Albay Police Provincial Office, the Chief of the Police Regional Training Center, the Officer-in-Charge of the Aviation Security Unit, the Presidents of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines–Albay and the Council of Deans for Criminal Justice Education, Inc., the Rotary Club of Legazpi, and the Regional Head of Kaakibat Civicom.

The event highlights ParSU's commitment to advancing criminal justice education, which is anchored in its mission of producing responsible graduates in Criminology, with Dr. Esplana representing the University and the Council of Deans for Criminal Justice Education.

In celebration of History Month, the Partido State University – Museo de Isarog spearheaded Balangibog Talks: Frames from the Past, Exploring Historical Narratives in Visual Media, at the ParSU College of Education Review Center. 

Dr. Marco Stefan B. Lagman delivered an insightful lecture on the representation of women in advertisements, highlighting how media images can shape society’s views on gender roles. The event wrapped up with a synthesis that reminded everyone of the power of visual media as a tool of persuasion and as cultural texts that shape how we understand identity and history.

The event was attended by first-year students, who gained valuable perspectives on how history and media intersect, which will guide their academic journey and appreciation of cultural identity. 

ParSU remains committed to promoting historical awareness where national identity is celebrated and explored through education and research, among others.
