The Partido State University (ParSU) College of Public Safety and Community Health Lagonoy Campus held its Internship Graduation, Ring Hop Ceremony, and Turnover of Command for Batch Sinagdiwa at the ParSU Gymnasium yesterday, April 16, 2025, marking the culmination of academic and field training, while also signifying the formal transition of responsibilities to the incoming senior class.

With the theme "Legacy of Service: Celebrating Excellence, Embracing the Future," the event celebrated the students' accomplishments and preparedness to take on greater roles in public service.ย 

The Ring Hop Ceremony, a significant milestone in the academic journey of criminology students and one of the program's highlights honors the achievements of the graduating class while preparing the junior class for leadership roles within the college.

Further, the Turnover of Command took place, symbolizing the official passing of leadership, where Crim. Intern Kristine Joy Peรฑas formally handed over the sword of leadership to Juner Pagador, who will now assume the role of Chief Intern.ย 

University officials attended the ceremony under the leadership of ParSU President Arnel B. Zarcedo, EDEL, College Dean Dr. Shirlene S. Esplana, faculty, students, parents, and guests, namely Dr. Augusting C. Camo, President of Camo Integrated School and PMAJ Julius I. Prima, HRDD Officer and Chief of SMAS, PRO V.ย 

Batch Sinagdiwa, commended for their dedication, discipline, and performance throughout their ParSU journey, were reminded to carry forward the institution's values as they transition into their respective professional paths, emphasizing the importance of integrity and professionalism in their future roles in public service.ย 

This momentous occasion reaffirms ParSU's commitment to developing competent, proactive, and service-driven professionals who will contribute to the betterment of the community.ย

Partido State University (ParSU) successfully underwent its ISO 9001:2015 First Surveillance Audit on April 6, 10, and 11, 2025, reaffirming its commitment to delivering quality education and services through a continually improving Quality Management System (QMS).ย 

The audit, led by Ms. Madilyn Plaza, audit members Ms. Mary Grace Balobalo and Mr. Hilario Capili, and ParSU ISO Consultant Engr. Helen Alian-Evalle aimed to verify the university's compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard, assess conformity with regulatory and contractual requirements, and determine the management system's effectiveness in achieving institutional objectives.ย 

In his message, ParSU President Arnel B. Zarcedo, EDEL, emphasized that the university is determined to remain responsive to the evolving needs of the students, faculty, stakeholders, and the community. Thus, ParSU is setting its sights on transforming all its processes, beginning with the Graduate Programs of the College of Education, College of Business and Management, and College of Arts and Humanities, which were evaluated for their curriculum-instruction design and resource development, followed by a class observation on April 6, 2025. ย 

Following this, on April 10, 2025, the audit shifted focus to the College of Sustainable Communities and Ecosystems (Caramoan campus), where key areas such as campus site management, curriculum design, development review, classroom instruction including laboratory observations, student affairs focusing on student activities and discipline, facilities management, library services, registrar services, and research and extension were audited. In the afternoon, the audit team proceeded to the Goa Campus to evaluate the Top Management, specifically focusing on updates and changes to the QMS, quality policy and objectives, among others. Further, the university's feedback mechanisms, complaint-handling procedures, and guidance and counseling procedures were evaluated alongside the Planning and Development Office.ย 

To conclude, on April 11, 2025, the final day of the audit covered similar activities at the College of Agribusiness and Community Development (Salogon campus) and Goa campus, focusing again on academic and support services.ย

Partido State University (ParSU) Reserve Officer's Training Corps (ROTC) Unit participated in the Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) yesterday, April 8, 2025.ย 

This annual assessment led by the Philippine Army's Reserve Command measures ParSU ROTC's training status, competencies, and accomplishments and evaluates operational readiness.ย 
During the inspection, ParSU cadets demonstrated their skills and readiness during the rank inspection, company drills, knot tying, map reading, and first aid demonstrations, among others, highlighting months of rigorous training and preparation.

After thorough inspection and evaluation, ParSU ROTC garnered 894.31 points or an average score of 89.43%, demonstrating not only their proficiency in various areas but also the efficient programs and leaders of the University.ย 

This accomplishment showcases discipline and camaraderie among the ParSU ROTC, reflecting the University's commitment to developing proactive students who are ready to serve the nation.ย

The Partido State University (ParSU) College of Education (CED) successfully concluded its two-day seminar-writeshop โ€œEmpowering Educators: A Seminar-Writeshop on the MATATAG (Enhanced Kโ€“12) Curriculum โ€“ Innovations, Challenges, and Strategies for 21st-Century Teachingโ€ at the CED Review and Training Center.ย 

The first day featured enriching discussions by esteemed speakers Dr. Mariben D. Berja, Chief, Curriculum Implementation Division, Division of Camarines Sur, and Dr. Leodegario Daniel, Public Schools District Supervisor of the Lagonoy North District. Dr. Berja delivered productive discussions on โ€œThe Key Features of the MATATAG Curriculumโ€ and โ€œLatest Trends in Curriculum Developmentโ€ while Dr. Daniel addressed โ€œEmerging Issues and Challenges in Philippine Education and the MATATAG Curriculum", wherein participants actively engaged in collaborative exchange, sharing challenges and proposing solutions, followed by a reflective wrap-up session.ย 

Further, Day 2 highlighted Dr. Danielโ€™s session on โ€œBest Teaching Practices for the MATATAG Curriculumโ€ and a collaborative workshop led by both speakers on syllabus revision and lesson planning. In the afternoon, a writeshop on developing a learning plan for curriculum implementation occured, culminating in the presentation of outputs.

With constant changes and demands in the education sector, this initiative reflects ParSU CEDโ€™s commitment to capacitating its faculty and ย future educators with innovative strategies and practical tools to ensure competence and efficiency. ย

To bolster institutional awareness of todayโ€™s digital threats and vulnerabilities, the Partido State University (ParSU) College of Engineering and Computational Sciences (CEC) hosted a lecture on โ€œInsights from the Frontlines: Cybersecurity for Todayโ€™s Digital World.โ€ย 

With guest speaker Mr. Graeme Batsman, a renowned cybersecurity expert, trusted media resource, and the Principal Consultant of Prive Cyber, students, faculty, and administrators in attendance gathered critical insights on cybersecurity challenges, emerging risks, and practical strategies.

This initiative aims to empower the ParSU community in safeguarding academic systems proactively and streamline digital transformation efforts across the university.ย
