Center for Food Safety Research and Extension

The Center for Food Safety Research and Extension (CFSRE) of Partido State University serve as a hub for food safety research, extension, and capacity building. It advances studies on emerging threats, provides testing and training services to industries and government, and promotes sustainable practices to ensure safer food systems. The Center positions the University as a regional leader in food safety, contributing to public health, policy development, and socio-economic growth.

Objectives

  1. Advancing Research: Supporting cutting-edge studies in food safety, focusing on emerging threats such as antibiotic resistance, pathogen detection, and contamination mitigation.

  2. Strengthening Extension Services: Providing testing, consultation, and training to local industries, cooperatives, and government agencies to enhance compliance with food safety standards.

  3. Capacity Building: Offering specialized training programs, workshops, and certifications to students, faculty, and industry practitioners to develop a skilled workforce in food safety.

  4. Promoting Environmental Responsibility: Integrating sustainable practices in food production and safety frameworks to minimize ecological impacts.
