The Partido State University (ParSU) College of Education (CED) successfully concluded its two-day seminar-writeshop โEmpowering Educators: A Seminar-Writeshop on the MATATAG (Enhanced Kโ12) Curriculum โ Innovations, Challenges, and Strategies for 21st-Century Teachingโ at the CED Review and Training Center.ย
The first day featured enriching discussions by esteemed speakers Dr. Mariben D. Berja, Chief, Curriculum Implementation Division, Division of Camarines Sur, and Dr. Leodegario Daniel, Public Schools District Supervisor of the Lagonoy North District. Dr. Berja delivered productive discussions on โThe Key Features of the MATATAG Curriculumโ and โLatest Trends in Curriculum Developmentโ while Dr. Daniel addressed โEmerging Issues and Challenges in Philippine Education and the MATATAG Curriculum", wherein participants actively engaged in collaborative exchange, sharing challenges and proposing solutions, followed by a reflective wrap-up session.ย
Further, Day 2 highlighted Dr. Danielโs session on โBest Teaching Practices for the MATATAG Curriculumโ and a collaborative workshop led by both speakers on syllabus revision and lesson planning. In the afternoon, a writeshop on developing a learning plan for curriculum implementation occured, culminating in the presentation of outputs.
With constant changes and demands in the education sector, this initiative reflects ParSU CEDโs commitment to capacitating its faculty and ย future educators with innovative strategies and practical tools to ensure competence and efficiency. ย
