The inspection formed part of the PRCโs continuing mandate to ensure that higher education institutions offering regulated programs consistently meet established standards in instruction, facilities, faculty support, and overall academic preparedness. Such monitoring serves as a vital mechanism in upholding the quality of professional education and in ensuring that programs remain responsive to the competencies required of future nutrition and dietetics practitioners.
As part of the visit, the Board carried out a comprehensive evaluation of the departmentโs physical facilities, laboratory equipment, instructional materials, and other academic resources essential to the effective delivery of the program. The inspection also provided an opportunity for constructive assessment, with recommendations put forward to further strengthen academic implementation, improve student recruitment and retention strategies, and sustain the departmentโs readiness in producing competent, industry-prepared graduates.

Imelda A. Agdeppa, together with Ms. Yvonne B. Claravall, Senior Professional Regulations Officer from PRC Legazpi. Their presence underscored the significance of the evaluation in ensuring that the Universityโs Nutrition and Dietetics program remains aligned with the standards and competencies required for professional practice.
During the exit conference, Hon. Ignacio presented the Boardโs initial findings, observations, and key recommendations, which are expected to serve as valuable inputs in the continuing enhancement of the Universityโs academic delivery, learning environment, and program implementation. The conference also provided an important platform for dialogue and reflection, reinforcing the shared commitment of both the University and the regulatory body to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
University officials, faculty members, and key academic personnel were present during the activity, signifying the institutionโs collective commitment to advancing the program and sustaining its alignment with evolving professional and academic standards.
