
To empower researchers and professionals with cutting-edge data analytics and publication skills, Partido State University (ParSU), in partnership with the University of the Philippines Los Baรฑos (UPLB) Graduate School, successfully hosted the highly sought-after Data Analytics Training Workshop titled โFrom Data to Impact: Analytics & Publication Mastery 2025โ from May 5 to 9, 2025.

The workshop featured an esteemed lineup of speakers, namely Dr. Jomar Rabajante, Dean, UPLB Graduate School; Dr. Jason Alinsunurin, Associate Dean, De La Salle University School of Economics; Dr. Jefferson Arapoc, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, UPLB; Gimelle Gamilla-Amorosa, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, UPLB; Ben Paul Dela Cruz, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, UPLB; Dr. Pamela Custodio, Associate Professor, Department of Development Journalism, College of Development Communication, UPLB.
Participants from ParSU and other institutions explored various topics, including data preparation, basic statistics, infographics and data visualization, dashboarding, open data and ethics, causal inference, and experimental design. The program also included lectures on research practices, hands-on sessions using Orange data mining, and software demonstrations on JASP and SocNetV.
This initiative strengthened the participantsโ data analysis and research skills and deepened their understanding of how data and information can drive impactful studies, thus highlighting the significance of collaboration between institutions like ParSU and UPLB in building proactive, resilient, and more informed communities.
