Partido State University (ParSU) sustained its commitment to quality and continual improvement after ๐ฉ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ˆ๐’๐Ž ๐Ÿ—๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ:๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“ ๐’๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐’๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฏ๐ž๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐€๐ฎ๐๐ข๐ญ on August 11โ€“12, 2026, with ๐ณ๐ž๐ซ๐จ ๐ง๐จ๐ง-๐œ๐จ๐ง๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ.ย

The two-day audit assessed the University's continued conformity with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and the effectiveness of its Quality Management System (QMS) in supporting institutional objectives, meeting applicable legal and regulatory requirements, and delivering quality services to its stakeholders. The audit also formed part of the University's continuing efforts to maintain its ISO certification.

The audit team was led by Engr. Michelle Pestaรฑas, together with Auditors Engr. Mary Grace Balobalo and Engr. Hilario Capili. The assessment covered key academic and administrative processes across the University's campuses.

On August 11, 2026, the audit focused on the College of Fisheries and Marine Science (Sagรฑay Campus) and the College of Environmental Science and Design (Tinambac Campus). Areas assessed included campus site management, curriculum design, facilities management, development review, classroom and laboratory instruction, student affairs, student activities and discipline, and research, development, and extension services.

The audit continued on August 12, 2026, at the ParSU Main Campus, covering the top management, classroom and instructional laboratory observations, human resource development and management, curriculum design and evaluation, learning resource development, procurement, customer satisfaction and feedback, health services, research and extension services, and the Gender and Development Office.

In his message, ParSU President Dr. Arnel B. Zarcedo emphasized that the Second Surveillance Audit should be viewed not simply as an assessment of compliance but as an opportunity to examine the effectiveness and consistency of the University's systems and identify areas for improvement.

He reaffirmed that quality assurance is a way of life at ParSU, reflected in how offices perform their functions, serve students and stakeholders, manage processes, and respond to opportunities for improvement. "We are here not simply to show compliance, but to learn from the audit and become better at what we do," President Zarcedo added.

The zero non-conformity result reflects the University's sustained efforts to strengthen its systems, processes, and services. It also affirms that quality management at ParSU is a shared responsibility and that this milestone reflects the collective effort of its officials, administrators, the quality assurance office, faculty, non-teaching personnel, students, and other stakeholders who contribute to the effective implementation of the University's QMS, which contributes to better services, stronger institutional processes, and improved experiences.

While the zero non-conformity result marks a significant milestone, ParSU recognizes that quality is not measured by an audit result alone; thus, it remains committed to addressing the auditors' observations and opportunities for improvement to sustain its good practices and continuously strengthen its QMS.

President Zarcedo also called on the University community to use the coming months to prepare for the 2027 ISO 9001:2015 Recertification Audit, emphasizing that readiness must go beyond documentation and be demonstrated through the actual performance of processes and services.

The achievement, therefore, is not an endpoint, but another milestone in ParSU's continuing journey toward quality and excellence.

As ParSU moves toward its 2027 recertification, it remains steadfast in embedding quality into its everyday operations and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
