Partido State University (ParSU) received two institutional recognitions at the Scholarship for Staff and Instructors' Knowledge Advancement Program (SIKAP) Recognition Rites held earlier today, at La Piazza Hotel and Convention Center, Legazpi City, recognizing the University's support in implementing the program and in sending faculty and staff members to pursue advanced learning opportunities.ย
Carrying the theme "Rooted in Fortitude, Shaped by Resilience: Celebrating the Journey of Advanced Learning," the recognition rites honored institutions and scholars who have advanced higher education through continuous learning and professional development.
ParSU was recognized for its role in implementing SIKAP, receiving a Certificate of Commendation as a Delivering Higher Education Institution for its responsiveness, generous assistance, and sound management in carrying out the program in partnership with CHED RO V.
Beyond supporting the program's implementation, the University was likewise awarded a Certificate of Appreciation as a Sending Higher Education Institution for its invaluable support, cooperation, and commitment in sending faculty and staff members to pursue advanced learning opportunities through the program. The two recognitions were received by ParSU Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Michael A. Clores on behalf of University President Dr. Arnel B. Zarcedo.
Invited SIKAP scholars from ParSU included Mr. Jonathan C. Boaloy, Dr. Rowell John B. Artiaga, Dr. Ariel B. Barreda, and Dr. Kennedy C. Cuya. Among the 26 PhD graduates in the SIKAP program, Dr. Cuya was selected to deliver the testimonial representing doctorate-level scholars. His testimony reflected the perseverance, challenges, and growth experienced by scholars as they pursued advanced degrees and translated their learning into professional practice.
The recognitions underscore ParSU's continuing investment in the professional development of its faculty and staff. Through opportunities such as SIKAP, the University enables its personnel to pursue advanced learning that can contribute to quality instruction, relevant research, responsive extension services, and better public service.
