Driven by its mission to champion institutional excellence, the Partido State University (ParSU) Quality Assurance Center facilitated the three-day Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Training Workshop on December 1-3, 2025, at the ParSU Boardroom.
In his message, ParSU President Arnel B. Zarcedo EDEL emphasizes that before allowing external global metrics to define us, we must first ensure that we are at par with national standards of excellence as set by the PQA. "This workshop is a crucial step in empowering our PQA Champions, our Task Force, and all participants to master the criteria, understand the application process, and fortify the University's readiness for assessment," he ends.ย
The training, led by resource person Engr. Angelica C. Fraginal, Managing Director/Senior consultant of ACF Consultancy and Training Corporation, equips the University's PQA Core Team with a deeper, hands-on understanding of the PQA Framework and its direct link to ParSU's pursuit of performance excellence. Participants receive technical guidance on the PQA Criteria for Performance Excellence, including the preparation of the application report and the specific requirements of the assessment process.
By enhancing the team's competence in developing, implementing, and evaluating quality systems, ParSU strengthens its institutional capacity for continuous improvement, advancing its alignment with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
