In a move to modernize and streamline its evaluation processes, Partido State University held an online orientation on the implementation of its new Teaching Effectiveness Instrument for the First Semester of SY 2025โ2026 on November 24, 2025, engaging students across all campuses.
The activity aimed to ensure that all stakeholders, especially the learners who serve as primary evaluators, are fully aware of the updated system and prepared for its full implementation. The Academic Council previously endorsed the revised instrument, which will now be administered through an automated digital platform to promote a more efficient, transparent, and uniform evaluation process.
Grounded in an enhanced assessment framework, the new tool integrates outcomes-based education, flexible learning strategies, and student-centered approaches. It reflects ParSUโs commitment to transparency, continuous improvement, and accountability, ensuring that faculty evaluations remain fair, development-driven, and attuned to modern learning needs.
During the orientation, VPAA Dr. Michael A. Clores emphasized the crucial role students play in elevating the quality of instruction across the University. He highlighted that ParSUโs commitment to pursue excellence in learning and teaching begins with recognizing that โthe quality of teaching defines the quality of learning.โ
Dr. Clores underscored that student feedback is not merely a requirement but a powerful tool that shapes the classroom experience and drives faculty growth. โYour voices matter,โ he told the students, stressing that they hold a โbig role in shaping educationโ and that their participation ensures that learning becomes more responsive, dynamic, and transformative.
He further clarified that the instrument โis not meant to judge our faculty, but to help them refine their craft.โ By offering constructive insights, students become active partners in building better learning environments, where teaching evolves based on real student experiences and aspirations.
Through this initiative, ParSU strengthens its commitment to SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting continuous improvement in teaching, enhancing instructional effectiveness, and building a more inclusive, student-driven academic culture.
