𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐒𝐔 𝐌𝐃𝐈 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐚𝐰 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞

Aiming to deepen public understanding of Martial Law as both a historical and political responsibility, the Partido State University (ParSU) Museo de Isarog conducted a public lecture titled “𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐚𝐰: 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐲, 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲” on November 6, 2025 at Museo de Isarog. 

The event featured guest speaker Mr. Darren Ramon Avestruz of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, who discussed the politics of memory, structures of silence, and forms of resistance that shaped the nation’s collective remembrance of this defining era. 

First-year students attended the lecture and engaged in thoughtful discussions, strengthening their awareness of the country’s historical struggles and democratic values. 

Through initiatives like this, ParSU reaffirms its role in fostering historical awareness, critical thinking, and social responsibility, contributing to the realization of SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
