Committed to producing graduates who contribute to sustainable development and environmental stewardship, Partido State University (ParSU) College of Fisheries and Marine SciencesโSagnay Campus welcomed the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office V (CHED RO V) for the monitoring and evaluation of its Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology program on June 23, 2026.
Dr. Jean Salalima-Go, Education Supervisor II of CHED RO V, led the evaluation to assess the program's compliance with the standards set under CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 46, series of 2017, or the Policies, Standards and Guidelines for the Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology Program, and CMO No. 22, series of 2021, on the Minimum Requirements for Libraries of Higher Education Institutions Common to All Programs.
The activity reviewed key areas of program implementation, including administration, faculty, laboratories and facilities, curriculum, quality assurance, and library resources. These components are vital in ensuring that students receive relevant, outcomes-based education and hands-on learning experiences aligned with industry and environmental needs.
The monitoring activity brought together University officials, administrators, faculty members, and support personnel whose collective efforts continue to strengthen the Marine Biology program. More importantly, the evaluation reaffirmed ParSU's commitment to maintaining high academic standards and preparing graduates who can contribute to marine biodiversity conservation, sustainable fisheries development, and the responsible management of coastal and aquatic resources in the region and beyond.
