Championing its role as a hub for extending knowledge, advocacy, and social responsibility beyond the University walls, the Gender and Development (GAD) Unit of Partido State University (ParSU) in Partnership with Goa Science High School (GSHS) and the College of Education Student Council, spearheaded the forum "Equality Heals: Advancing Gender and Development to End Violence and Nurture Mental Health" yesterday, October 2, 2025, at the ParSU Gymnasium.

Participated in by GSHS students and faculty, the event reflected ParSU's commitment to promoting gender equality, raising mental health awareness, and strengthening violence prevention efforts to help develop learners and the broader community with resilience and inclusivity.

The activity also formed part of the Philippine National Police's Oplan BES (Bisita Eskwela "I am Strong") program, strengthening collaboration among educational institutions, law enforcement, and community stakeholders in ensuring student protection and well-being.

GSHS Principal I, Mr. Ronald C. Enciso, opened the program with an inspirational message. Discussions featured Mr. Michael P. Vale, ParSU GAD Focal Person, who tackled "From Awareness to Action: Understanding Gender and Development (GAD) Concepts", Atty. Gene O. Gados, Prosecutor III, on "Knowing Your Rights: Laws that Promote Gender Equality", PMSg Maricel C. Abundabar, Assistant WCPD PNCO, on "Breaking the Silence: Understanding and Preventing Gender-Based Violence," and Ms. Ina Rose V. Patrocinio, Instructor II, on "Minds Matter: Mental Health and Gender Sensitivity."

By aligning with initiatives like Oplan BES, ParSU affirms its role as a community partner in nurturing a safe, inclusive, and resilient society, while advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being and SDG 5: Gender Equality.ย
