Partido State University (ParSU), in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Camarines Sur, conducted the First Technical Review of the Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI)-Based Development Plan for the Municipality of San Jose, Camarines Sur, on October 28, 2026, at the ParSU RDE Training Hall.ย
The review brought together ParSU technical experts and local stakeholders to assess the draft plan, gather recommendations, and identify refinements before its adoption. The process aims to align the plan with the municipalityโs development priorities and establish a strategic framework for using science, technology, and innovation to address local needs and advance sustainable development.
The activity builds on the STI Mainstreaming Workshop held on December 22-23, 2025, and January 29-30, 2026, which culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between ParSU and the local government on January 30, 2026, at the ParSU Board Room.ย
DOST supports the initiative through the Innovation, Science, and Technology for Accelerating Regional Technology-Based Development (iSTART) Program, which helps local government units integrate STI into local planning and governance.

Through this partnership, ParSU brings its research, technical expertise, and extension capabilities closer to local governance, helping translate scientific knowledge into development strategies that respond to community needs.
