
Partido State University (ParSU), through its Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI), held an Orientation on Sexual Harassment Cases on April 7, 2026, at the RDE Training Hall as part of its continuing efforts to keep the University a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for all.

In his opening message, Prof. Charlie V. Balagtas, Vice President for Administration and Finance, emphasized the importance of fostering an environment where community members can speak freely, express their thoughts with confidence, and assert their rights in a proper and informed manner. He also stressed the need to empower individuals through greater awareness and a deeper understanding of how to address and resolve misunderstandings effectively.

The resource speaker, Atty. Wilfried P. Formalejo from the Senate of the Philippines, guided participants through the roles and responsibilities of key officesโespecially CODIโin handling complaints. He emphasized the importance of due process, fairness, confidentiality, and impartiality every step of the way.

Unit heads, deans, and directors came together for the session, demonstrating a shared commitment to strengthening their understanding of how to prevent, report, and appropriately address sexual harassment and other forms of gender-based misconduct within the university, while emphasizing the importance of upholding dignity and equality; fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment; recognizing the university's legal duties and responsibilities; and affirming that awareness is essential to prevention.
Through activities like this, ParSU continues to strengthen its culture of respect, accountability, and care. More than policies and procedures, the University aims to nurture individuals who lead with integrity and help build a community where everyone feels valued and protected.
