Partido State University (ParSU), through the College of Public Safety and Community Health (CPSCHโ€“Lagonoy Campus), co-hosted the Criminal Justice Education Teaching Excellence Forum and Curriculum Alignment Workshop on March 10โ€“11, 2026 at St. Ellis Hotel, Legazpi City.

In partnership with the Council of Deans for Criminal Justice Education (CODCJE) Region V and the Professional Criminologist Association of the Philippines, Inc. Region V, the two-day regional forum gathered deans, program heads, faculty leaders, and institutional representatives ย from higher education institutions across the Bicol Region. Participants examined key developments in criminology education, focusing on curriculum alignment with national standards, innovative teaching and learning strategies, research integration, and stronger inter-institutional collaboration.

ParSU personnel also served as resource speakers during the forum, led by CPSCH Dean Dr. Shirlene S. Esplana, who currently serves as President of CODCJE Region V and facilitator of the workshop sessions. Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Michael A. Clores delivered key insights onโ€œFuture-Proof Criminology: SDG-Driven Curriculum Innovationโ€, while Dr. Kennedy C. Kuya discussed โ€œBeyond the Badge: AI, Innovation, and the New Criminal Justice Landscape.โ€ Meanwhile, ย ParSU accreditors and RQAT members Dr. Rina A. Puerta and Clarson V. De Vera shared best practices on accreditation and curriculum quality, reinforcing standards for excellence in Criminal Justice Education.

By co-leading this initiative, ParSU actively advances the quality of Criminal Justice Education in the region and strengthens its role as a hub for academic leadership and professional development. The forum reaffirmed a shared commitment among institutions to produce competent, ethical, and community-responsive criminology graduatesโ€”ensuring that ParSU learners are equipped with relevant skills to serve and protect society.

Through engagements like this, ParSU continues to champion instructional excellence, responsive curriculum innovation, and meaningful partnerships that elevate both the university and the communities it serves.
