Partido State University College of Education (ParSU CED) makes a bold step toward achieving recognition as a Center of Excellence (COE) through its COE Orientation Seminar-Workshop on October 6โ7, 2025, at the CED Review and Training Center.

This initiative marks a defining moment for the University as it strengthens its position as one of the leading institutions in teacher education in the Bicol Region, setting the stage for greater academic innovation, national recognition, and transformative impact on learners and communities.

The two-day learning engagement gathered key education leaders and experts, including Dr. Felina Espique, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Saint Louis University (SLU), Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Technical Panel for Teacher Education Member, and Former TEC Luzon Representative, Dr. Joselito G. Gutierrez, Executive Assistant to the University President of SLU, and Dr. Lorna M. Miรฑa, Dean of the Bicol University College of Education. Their insights guided ParSU CED in understanding the rigorous standards, institutional commitments, and innovative practices required to attain COE recognition from the CHED.

In his message, University President Arnel B. Zarcedo, EDEL, expressed optimism that the initiative will motivate other colleges within the University to pursue similar recognition. โI hope this effort will inspire other colleges and programs in ParSU to consider applying for COE recognition in their respective fields. We have qualified programs, dedicated faculty, and promising initiatives,โ he said. He further emphasized that achieving COE status is more than just prestige; it is about accountability, continuous improvement, and national recognition of the work ParSU is already doing for the community.
