ParSU College of Education (CED), through its Student Council, honored its newly licensed professional teachers in a testimonial ceremony themed โIGNITE: Igniting Minds, Inspiring Hearts,โ on January 23, 2026, at the University Gymnasium.
The celebration opened with a motorcade that set a festive and triumphant tone, symbolizing the collective pride of the University in the achievements of its recent Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) passers which was followed by a formal program attended by CED officials, faculty members, and students.
In her message CED Dean Dr. Joan A. Monforte-Bedes, highlighted the Collegeโs exceptional performance in the March and September 2025 LET. She expressed her profound pride in the graduates, describing their success as a manifestation of excellence fueled by determination and faith. โI am filled with immense pride as I share the fire of excellence our graduates have showcased in the March and September 2025 LET,โ Dean Monforte-Bedes exclaimed. She reported that the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) program achieved a perfect 100% passing rate in March 2025, with 10 out of 10 takers successfully passing the examination. This momentum continued in the September 2025 LET, where 24 out of 25 first-time takers passed.
She further emphasized the equally remarkable performance of the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) program. After producing 16 passers in LET March 2025, the June 2025 BSEd graduates delivered a 100% passing rate across all majors in the September 2025 LET. Dean Monforte-Bedes further underscored that, "numbers are more than just statistics; they are proof that the fire of determination can overcome any challenge. [They are] stor[ies] of sleepless nights, quiet sacrifices, self-doubt conquered by determination, and hope sustained by faith."
The ceremony also featured the formal presentation of LET passers. Ms. Ma. Cristina C. Picaso, Pedagogy Department Chair, presented the successful examinees of the Bachelor of Elementary Education, while Ms. Hazel Bocacao, Bachelor of Secondary Education Program Chair, introduced the passers from the secondary education program. Consequently, a pinning ceremony was conducted to symbolize the graduatesโ formal induction into the teaching profession as newly licensed educators.
One of the highlights of the event was a talk show featuring selected LET passers, who openly shared their journey from college life to the release of the LET results. The panelists reflected on their academic challenges, personal sacrifices, and defining moments, crediting CED as a strong foundation in their professional formation.
ย The passers expressed deep gratitude to the CED faculty members, sharing that their four-year academic journey at ParSU already served as a continuous and comprehensive preparation for the Licensure Examination for Teachers. Accordingly, this solid groundwork significantly contributed to the Collegeโs outstanding performance in the March and September 2025 LET.
They also shared their unique LET experience through the collegeโs LET Ops initiative, spearheaded by the CED faculty. The examinees were provided with โpabaonโ or care and food packages. This initiative, they said, offered not only practical support but also emotional comfort and a deep sense of belonging.
Several passers recalled how the LET Ops initiative drew curiosity from fellow examinees from other universities, who would ask, โSana all may pabaon, saang university po kayo?โ โ a moment that allowed them to proudly respond, โFrom Partido State University po kami.โ
While the talk show evoked a range of emotions, its core message resonated strongly with the audience. It provided future LET takers with valuable insights, practical tips, and renewed hope, especially for those facing uncertainty and pressure in taking the examination.
Mr. Rey Cornel, CED Student Council Adviser, concluded the ceremony with a reminder to the newly licensed teachers of the responsibility that comes with their achievement. โPassing the board exam is not the end of the journey; it is just the beginning,โ Cornel emphasized. โThe license you now hold is [a symbol of trust.] The community is trusting you with its most valuable treasure: the next generation.โ
Through the โIGNITEโ testimonial ceremony, ParSU reaffirmed its commitment to producing competent, compassionate, and resilient educators-teachers who are prepared not only to pass licensure examinations but to truly ignite minds and inspire hearts in the communities and children they will serve.
