The Partido State University – ParSU Economics Students Organization of the College of Business Management (CBM) formally marked the professional transition of Bachelor of Science in Economics (BSEcon) seniors through its first-ever pinning ceremony, “Pinnacle of Pride: OJT Pinning, Send-Off, and Family Tribute,” held on February 6, 2026 at the Student Pavilion.

The activity recognized the students’ readiness to move from academic life to the professional world, symbolizing the perseverance, discipline, and competencies they developed throughout their years at ParSU.

In his message, ParSU President Dr. Arnel B. Zarcedo emphasized that the University’s future economists are, “being prepared for more than technical analysis and trend interpretation.” He noted that their training at Partido State University is meant to shape them to look beyond numbers and recognize their real impact on people and communities. He also underscored that the “[students’] on-the-job training was not just a course requirement; it was a preview of real life; a test of discipline, professionalism, and character,” and further urged them to carry these lessons forward as they move into their professional lives.

Guest speaker Mily Jane B. Pomar, a Class of 2023 BS Economics alumna and currently serving as Administrative Assistant II at the Accounting Office of the LGU San Jose, shared insights from her own professional journey, emphasizing the importance of adaptability, resilience, and confidence in navigating the demands of the workplace.

University officials, faculty members, and proud families witnessed the ceremony, reflecting the strong collective support for ParSU’s future professionals and reaffirming the University’s commitment to nurturing competent, values-driven graduates prepared to contribute meaningfully to their chosen fields.#
