In celebration of History Month, the Partido State University โ Museo de Isarog spearheaded Balangibog Talks: Frames from the Past, Exploring Historical Narratives in Visual Media, at the ParSU College of Education Review Center.ย
Dr. Marco Stefan B. Lagman delivered an insightful lecture on the representation of women in advertisements, highlighting how media images can shape societyโs views on gender roles. The event wrapped up with a synthesis that reminded everyone of the power of visual media as a tool of persuasion and as cultural texts that shape how we understand identity and history.
The event was attended by first-year students, who gained valuable perspectives on how history and media intersect, which will guide their academic journey and appreciation of cultural identity.ย
