
Center for Sustainable Communities
The Partido State University Center for Sustainable Communities (CSC) is an auxiliary unit engaged in research, development and extension services in the areas of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management/Climate Change Adaptation, Social Enterprise with an Eco-tourism focus, and work with indigenous communities.
Objective
Build a science for sustainable communities by undertaking multidisciplinary research that supports decision-making and by serving as the Universityโs knowledge repository for programs and policy recommendations on sustainable communities.
Services Offered
Here are the services offered by the CSC:
- Capacity building in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), eco-tourism, solid-waste-management planning, and cultural mapping.
- Networking & knowledge exchange with national/international professionals, civil society, academe, business, and government; participation in regional, national, and international conferences on Sustainable Communities
- Technical assistance to Local Government Units (LGUs)/communities for drafting municipal and barangay DRRM Plans and Local Climate Change Adaptation Plans or other.
- Multidisciplinary research and funded studies aligned with sustainable-development needs of communities.
