PSU aims to provide quality instruction in philosophy and the arts, to create a competitive advantage in instruction, research and extension. One specific step toward this direction that the University has taken is the inclusion of Dr. Danilo M. Gerona, an internationally renowned Bicol historian, in its roster of academic scholars. Dr. Gerona commits to build historical data base for Partido and undertake in-depth researches on certain aspects of the District which will become part of the collection of readings of the University.
Dr. Gerona shared his workplan and initial findings on Partido and Mount Isarog studies last September 6, 2018 at the PSU Audio-Visual Room. The lecture was sponsored by the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) and attended by faculty members from different colleges and campuses of PSU. The welcome remarks was delivered by the SGS Dean Dr. Bernadette G. Gumba, the University President Dr. Raul G. Bradecina gave an inspirational message, while MAED/PhD Program Director Ms. Nora E. Bacares rendered the closing remarks. The activity was facilitated by SGS Research Coordinator Dr. Maria Wendy M. Solomo.
