Behind every successful Research and Extension project are the stakeholders of Partido State University. As a way of showing gratitude, the university organized the very first PagHONRA 2023 on March 31, 2023 to recognize the relentless efforts of the partners over the years.  The LGUs, academe, Government Agencies and People’s Organizations were awarded for their immense contribution to the university’s effort to uplift the quality of life of the locals, promote sustainable development, and create an enabling environment towards the growth of knowledge economy in Partido district. President Raul G. Bradecina delivered his warm message highlighting the Vision, Mission, and Objectives of the university, and strategies in achieving the mandates in Research and Extension. Dr. Bradecina himself handed the Plaques of Appreciation to the recipients of the awards.

Honorable mayors and representatives of the Local Government Units of Caramoan, Garchitorena, Presentacion, Lagonoy, San Jose, Goa, Tigaon, Sangay, Tinambac, Siruma, and Pasacao were recognized. In behalf of the LGUs, Mayor John Vincent B. Fuentebella, the Municipal Mayor of Sangay gave his Acceptance Speech emphasizing the university and agencies’ contribution in developing the communities in terms of livelihood, food security, and many more. He also stressed the importance of pursuing the noble initiatives of the university which redound to the benefit of the people.

Cawayanan for Lasting Mangroves (CLAMS) and Nato Rigaton Association were among the People’s Organization  awarded during the ceremony. Council of Deans for Graduate Education, Department of Education Camarines Sur, and the University of the Philippines in Miag-ao, Iloilo, were awardees from the Academe category.

Government agencies which were awarded were Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region V and CENRO-Goa, Department of Social Welfare and Development Region V, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region V, Department of Trade and Industry Region V and Camarines Sur,  Department of Agriculture Region V, and DA Agricultural Training Institute  Region V, Commission on Higher Education-NAFES, National Commission of Indigenous People Region V, National Commission for Culture and Arts, Southeast Asian Fisheries  Development Center/ Aquaculture Department are the agencies that received  the award.  In behalf of these government agencies, the DA-ATI Director Ms. Elsa A. Parot, gave her Acceptance Speech. She expressed her gratitude  to  Partido State University and the other stakeholders in their efforts to improve the  lives of the people within the community. She also looks forward to a lasting partnership with PSU and as well as the other agencies.








 

The awarding ceremony was spearheaded by the University President supported by the Vice-President for Research, Extension, and KM, Dr. Patricia M. Candelaria, Research Director, Prof. Luisa M. Lanciso, Extension Director, Prof. Rosemarie A. Tabardillo, and Knowledge Management Director, Dr. Mariel R. Estrella.
