Two research studies authored by PSU faculty members received best paper awards during the Regional Symposium on Research and Development Highlights (RSRDH) sponsored by the Bicol Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (BCAARRD) on February 8-9, 2021 via Google Meet.
Diomerl Edward B. Baldo of PSU Caramoan Campus and Ronnel A. Dioneda, Jr. of Sagñay Campus won 1st Best Paper for their study titled, “Evaluation of Anticancer Properties of Alpinia galangal (Zingiberaceae) Ethanolic Extract.”
The other study titled, “Climate Vulnerability Scenario of the Agri-Fishery Communities in the Bicol River Basin, Philippines” authored by Dr. Ricky P. Laureta of the College of Arts and Sciences, together with Ermar B. De La Cruz, and Ric Ryan H. Regalado, won 3rd Best Paper.
The abovementioned researchers competed with 21 other submitted papers from the various Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the region. They will receive cash prizes and certificates.
