To enhance the use of ICT tools by educators, students, government employees, and other beneficiaries—the College of Engineering and Technology, in partnership with the Department of Information Communication and Technology—Luzon Cluster 3 (DICT-LC3), organized a three-day training dubbed as "Digital Literacy Training Webinar," held on Feb. 3-5, 2021.

 

A total of 2968 participants from State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Department of Education (DepEd), Local Government Units (LGUs), other institutions from all over the country attended the training via Zoom and Facebook Live.

 

Topics discussed were: Advanced MS Excel Tips and Tricks; Creating Surveys and Assessments Tools using Google Forms and other Online Resources; Classroom Management in the Online World: Proper Netiquette in the Teaching and Learning Process; Originality Check using Online Plagiarism Tools; Cybersecurity Awareness and Data Privacy; and Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNKI) Awareness.

A certificate of participation was awarded to participants who attended the training and were able to pass the quiz given at the end of the webinar.

The webinar is part of CET's approved activity proposal titled, "Challenges and Changes: A 5 Day Advanced Training on ICT Tools for Online Teaching and RD&E Digital Materials Preparation." This activity also included training on Infographics for Online Teaching Resources and RD&E Preparation: Photo and Video Manipulation for CET faculty members.

CET faculty member, Mr. Kenneth P. Zamudio, headed this activity and served as the host during the webinar.
