Partido State University San Jose and Caramoan Campuses’ International Conference on Tourism and Hospitality Management (IConTHM) on June 28-30, 2023 to be held at the PSU Goa and Caramoan Campuses with the theme “Promoting Sustainable Practices, Maximizing Human and Tech-enabled Interactions” now accepts abstract for research presentation and poster presentation.

GUIDElines for submission

Abstract Submission:

1.           Only completed research will be accepted both for poster presentation and oral presentation, and should have been conducted between 2017-2022.

2.           Research abstract should contain 200-250 words including its main purpose, methodologies, highlights of results and major conclusions and recommendations. At least three (3) - Five (5) keywords should also be indicated.

3.           The abstract should have the name(s) of the presenter(s), work title(s), and the university/organization affiliation(s) they represent and indicate if for poster or oral presentation.

4.           All abstracts must be submitted through the official conference email address  This email address is being protected from spambots. It should be strictly in word document format. Filenames should be written in this manner: Author’s Full Name and Institution. (Example: Santos, Maria – ParSU-Oral)

5.           Acceptance for paper oral or poster presentation of the submitted abstract will be released on May 15, 2023 via the official conference email together with the oral and poster presentation guidelines and other instructions from the concerned committee

6.          The paper should fall in any of the following themes: Human Capital Development, Technologies in the Tourism and Hospitality, Sustainable Tourism, Community-based tourism, Events in Tourism and Hospitality, Culinary tourism, Faith/ Religious tourism, Agri Tourism, Tourism and Hospitality Resiliency, Small and Medium Enterprises Operations, Tourism Destination Marketing, Health and Wellness Tourism, Crisis Management in tourist destinations, Tourism Education, Rural Tourism, Other related themes

Call for posters

Guidelines for Poster Submission

SIZE AND ORIENTATION. The poster should be in PORTRAIT. Standard size for poster is 91.4cm x 121.9cm (36”x48”).

CAPITALIZATION. Observe capitalization for the title or body of the poster. Do not write in all capitals.

TEXT SIZE. For optimum readability, keep the fonts in these sizes:

  • Main Title – 90+ pts
  • Subtitles – 36 to 48 pts
  • Body – 28.32 pts
  • References and Acknowledgement – 18 to 24 pts

TEXT STYLE. Stick with basic fonts and do not use cartoon-like lettering or fonts as they are harder to read. Do not use more than 2 or 3 different fonts. Use upper- and lower-case standard letters.  

TEXT ALIGNMENT. Avoid centered text on the whole poster. Left-align the text boxes except the titles and image captions.  

TEXT COLORS AND BACKGROUNDS.  Keep the background color subtle. Use dark letters on light, plain background for easier reading. Avoid using many different colors. Instead, use a color palette with closely related colors or use the Red-Green-Blue (RGB) color scheme.

ILLUSTRATIONS.  Photographs and graphs should be 5” x 7” (12.5cm x 18cm).  Captions and labels must be brief and concise.

ORGANIZATION.  To better guide the reader, information should flow from left to right, top to bottom. You may divide your information into the following sections:

  • Title Banner (Title, Author, Affiliation). The title and author/s must be similar to the submitted abstract.
  • Abstract. Must contain a brief summary of the whole study (around 200-250 words).
  • Introduction. Must include the problem the paper is trying to answer and the significance of solving the problem.
  • Methods. Only show the important details; use flow charts that are easily understandable and perceived.
  • Results and Discussion. Lessen the texts; use pictures, graphs, and tables, if applicable. Must include analysis and implications of the results.
  • Conclusion and Recommendation. Should include the synthesis of the main findings and the next steps to be taken by future researchers.
  • References. List the sources cited in the presentation.

THEME. The paper should fall in any of the following themes: Human Capital Development, Technologies in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Sustainable Tourism , Community-based tourism, Events in Tourism and Hospitality, Culinary Tourism, Faith/Religious Tourism, Agri Tourism, Tourism Destination Marketing, Health and Wellness Tourism, Crisis Management in Tourist Destinations, Tourism Education, Rural Tourism and other related themes.
