The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), represented by Education Supervisor II Engr. Geronimo A. Buenavente, Accountant II Ms. Marjorie Bernas, PTS III Ms. Estela Padilla, PSS V Mr. Michael Joshua Maniquis, and Admin Assistant III Mr. Emerson Flordeliz, conducted an onsite inventory, inspection, tagging, and turnover of CHED Higher Education Development Fund (HEDF)-funded projects granted to the Partido State University (ParSU) College of Sustainable Communities and Ecosystems (Caramoan Campus).ย
The laboratory equipment includes a fumehood, laminar flow cabinet, spectrophotometer, UV/VIS, incubator, water bath shaker, Niskin water sampler, magnetic stirrer with a heating ceramic plate, analytical balance, micropipette, DNA extraction kits, centrifuge, autoclave, muffle furnace, gel electrophoresis, microscope binocular cordless, and stereo microscope. ย
This initiative is part of the Institutional Development and Innovation Grants (IDIG) project, "Enhancing the Science Laboratory and Facilities for the BS Biology Program of ParSU Caramoan Campus," implemented from September 22, 2023, to March 2024, and where ParSU Caramoan Campus unveiled its newly equipped state-of-the-art Conservation and Restoration Ecology Laboratory (CaRE Lab) last June 3, 2024.ย
Vice President for Academic Affairs and Concurrent Dean of ParSU Caramoan Campus, Dr. Michael A. Clores, spearheaded this project alongside his dedicated team, University Research Associates Eljenmer L. Sindo and Elluna Jane J. Bigcas, ย BSBioCRE core faculty Diana Rose Pesimo- Campehios, and AOIV-Budget Officer II and designated Supply Officer Meriam R. Paredog.ย
With the support and guidance of CHED, ParSU established a conducive learning environment for its learners and enhanced their experiences in the study of biological sciences, further introducing new teaching strategies and expanding both academic and research opportunities for its students and faculty.ย
Moving forward, ParSU remains dedicated to maintaining a harmonious partnership with CHED and is steadfast in upholding excellence and innovation in higher education and providing quality education to promote sustainable and resilient communities.ย
